Throughout his life and career, Alexander Schindler was a leading voice in the issues and concerns of his time. Schindler served as President of the UAHC (now the URJ) for over 20 years and used his platform as a Reform rabbi and as a visionary leader to advocate for both Jewish and secular causes -- ranging from Israel to the environment, gender and equality issues, civil rights, interfaith dialogue, gay rights, the peace movement, Soviet Jewry, and many others.

Our program will feature distinguished panelists who had the privilege of knowing Rabbi Alexander M. Schindler personally: Ambassador Stuart E. Eizenstat, Dr. Gary P. Zola, and his daughter, Rabbi Judy Schindler. These esteemed individuals will share their unique insights and personal reflections. Additionally, they will present documents from the newly launched website, which hosts the Rabbi Alexander M. Schindler digital collection where you can do a full search of materials that can be reviewed and downloaded. In addition, Dr. Dana Herman, Associate Director of the AJA will provide introductory remarks.

You won't want to miss this informative event!
